Add a telephone socket wherever you need one! Many wireless phone jacks transmit their signal using the existing electrical wiring between the Base Unit and the Extesnion Unit, thus calling themselves "Powerline Adapters". The RTX Wireless Phone Jack is truly a wireless device consisting of 1 Base Unit and 1 Extension Unit, using the power outlet only to power itself and then transmits its signal via a 2.4GHz frequency; much the same as a wireless router or a cordless telephone. Using a 2.4GHz frequency instead of powerlines provides clear consistent transmission with long range. The RTX Wireless Phone Jack is the answer when it does not make financial sense to call someone in to run new cables and install new jacks. Plus, each Base Unit can support up to 4 Extension Units (1 RTX Wireless Phone Jack = 1 Base and 1 Extension Unit, then 3 additional Extensions) so that you can add a phone jack wirelessly to any electrical wall outlet. Please Note: This unit is identical to the One-For-All SV1550 Wireless Telephone Extension. DECT Wireless BT Extension50 METERS OF WIRELESS PHONE LINEIf you want an extra telephone socket in your home, you need to install wires and other equipment, which can be both an expensive and time-consuming affair. Telephone sockets are often in high demand in a home, whether it be for plugging in a telephone, fax machine, PC modem or even a set top box. EXTRA CONNECTIONThe Wireless PHONE Jack is a perfect solution for when you need an extra connection. This well-designed plug can be inserted easily and directly into any power socket anywhere in your home without the need for any annoying or visible electrical wires. The Wireless PHONE JACK is a real wireless solution, offering a higher speed than standard power line communication technology. 1 MINUTE PLUG AND PLAY INSTALLATIONThe Wireless PHONE Jack makes installation extremely simple, since it is inserted directly into the power socket without incurring any extra installation costs. Installation time is therefore much quicker, since no physical electrical wires have to be installed. Just plug a Wireless PHONE Jack in and communicate – It's simple and easy. RELIABLE COMMUNICATIONThe Wireless PHONE Jack is based on the cordless DECT standard. The telephone jack uses DECT technology from RTX in a special configuration, enabling modem signals to be transmitted at speeds of up to 56 Kbit/s based on the V.34 and V.90 standards. This was not possible with DECT in a normal configuration, but with RTX as the unrivalled leader in DECT, we have been able to expand from the standard 9 Kbit/s to 56 Kbit/s.

Important Notes: - If you have broadband you will need to install a microfilter between the base unit and the phone wall socket to which you connect it.
- You must use a fully-wired (4-wire) cord between the Phone Extender and the telephone socket and between the Sky Digibox (or modem or telephone) and the Phone Extender.
- If you have problems getting the system to work, please plug the Receiver and Transmitter in to the same power socket (with an adapter if necessary) and test with an ordinary telephone. If this works OK, the units are functioning. It is important to carry out this test before contacting us to report a problem. Be sure to mention this test result.
IMPORTANT NOTES FOR SKY DIGITAL, SKY+, SKY HD OWNERS:We have been testing the RTX Wireless Phone Extension with various models of Sky+ receiver. The results, while positive, are unconclusive. Below is a summary of the results:
Pace 3000, 3100 & TDS470N Sky+: Majority of owners reported that the RTX Wirless Phone Extension Kit worked correctly with their receiver. However, we had some reports of the Sky+ receiver modem "Services System Test" working OK, but interactive functions such as viewing the Sky statement would fail. Amstrad DRX180 & DRX280 Sky+: Results same as Pace Sky+ receivers above. Thomson DSI8210 Sky+: Failed to work correctly. Thomson DSI8215 Sky HD: Failed to work correctly - Sky have said later revisions of this receiver have updated modem firmware (not yet confirmed). The RTX Wireless Phone Extender is not compatible with Grundig & Panasonic Sky receivers.
