Budget Connector Satellite or Cable TV RF Signal Lead A budget 2 metre coaxial cable for transmission of radio frequency (RF) signals. The cable comes with a screw-on F connector plug at each end - as used to connect analogue and digital satellite and cable TV receivers.
The cable features a true 75 Ohm ultra high purity solid core centre conductor, low loss dielectric and excellent quality screening, which all help to provide a rock solid picture and crystal clear audio.
The F connector plugs are of rugged construction with pure 24K gold plated connectors for long term reliability and superb quality signal transfer.
This cable is perfect for use as an extension lead for an existing Sky or Cable TV feed (along with an F Connector Coupler to join this cable to the existing lead).

Common Uses This F connector coaxial cable is ideal for satellite feed connections to Sky, Sky Digital, Sky+, Sky HD and other satellite receivers. This cable is suitable as a high quality replacement for connecting NTL, Virgin and Telewest cable boxes. The F plug to F plug cable can also be used for connecting high quality TV aerial RF distribution amplifiers and boosters that utilise F connectors.
QuestionsWhat is an F Connector?
The F plug is a type of Radio Frequency (RF) connector commonly used for cable television, satellite television, cable modems and often in high quality TV signal distribution systems. It can also be used for regular terrestrial television connections, although it is more common to use ordinary TV aerial coax connectors.
Normally the F connector is used to terminate RG-6 coaxial cable or (in older installations) with RG-59 cable. It is also used with high quality CT100 and CT125 coaxial cable, which provides better suppression of radio frequency interference due to extra shielding.
The F connector was invented by Eric Winston in the early 1950's while working for Jerrold Electronics on their development of cable television.
