What does the upgrade include?

The upgrade package includes everything you need to complete the upgrade. It's a simple 20 minute procedure that swaps your old TiVo hard disk(s) for a new LARGE capacity hard drive. Your existing recordings and settings will not be transferred to the new drive, but will still be stored on your old drive (which can be used as an emergency backup).

The upgrade is a full package that includes the following items:

• High capacity consumer electronics hard disk drive - whisper quiet mechanism and super fast!
• Specialist security screwdrivers - required to open the TiVo case and remove the existing drive.
• Easy to follow printed 5 page instruction manual.

How easy is the upgrade?

The upgrade procedure is very simple and anyone who feels confident with a screwdriver will easily be able to complete the upgrade. No complex technical experience is required. Below are the five simple steps:

1. Open and remove the TiVo case with the supplied specialist security screwdriver.
2. Unplug and remove the existing hard disk with the supplied torx screwdriver (old drive can be kept as an emergency backup).
3. Plug in and screw in your new LARGE capacity hard disk.
4. Replace the TiVo case.
5. Power up your new LARGE capacity TiVo and enjoy all the extra recording time!
