The Triax Digital Link will allow control of your Sky Digital, Sky+ or Sky HD satellite receiver whilst viewing in other rooms around the home. The Triax Digital Link is compatible with UK Sky digital satellite receivers with an RF2 output (also labelled RF2-OUT) that provides a second TV signal output together with a 9 volt DC supply. How it worksThe Triax Digital Link Magic Eye works by sending the remote control signal from the second room along coax cable back to the Sky receiver in the main room, letting you change channels, access the TV Guide, etc. You simply need to run a coax cable from the main Sky receiver's RF output (normally labeled RF-OUT-2) to the Digital Link in the second room, which is in turn connected to the second TV.
Not satisfied with just one extra room? This smart little unit simply doesn't just let you remote control a Sky, Sky+ or Sky HD digibox from a second room - you can keep adding Triax Digital Link Magic Eyes to provide control from a third, fourth or even more rooms, if required. If you want your Sky TV distributed to multiple rooms you will need connect the RF output from the Sky receiver to the input of a TV signal distribution amp, with the output of the amp routed via coax cable to a Triax Digital Link Remote Control Extender in each room. This can end up not only being cheaper than Sky Multiroom, but also more flexible. On a typical installation the Sky digibox is located in the living room with a second TV set being situated in the kitchen or a bedroom. This means it is possible for the main location to be watching one of the terrestrial channels, i.e. from the Freeview receiver or directly on TV, whilst the second location watches the Sky channels, i.e Sky Sports.
